1) Requirements
Windows 10/11 (64-bit) or macOS with a Windows VM. BMWAiCoder 4.6 installer (download from your trusted source). Working internet connection for activation (if required). USB-CAN or ENET adapter compatible with your car (commonly: ELM327 variants are NOT suitable; use K+DCAN, ENET, or an approved USB‑to‑Ethernet ENET adapter depending on model). BMW with compatible diagnostic port (most 2008+ models; ENET for F‑series, ICOM/VANOS variants for newer vehicles). Battery charger / stable 13.6V supply recommended.
2) Safety & precautions
Use a fully charged battery or connect a charger to prevent power loss during coding. Do not interrupt the PC–car connection while coding. Backup existing VCM/FA/VO and original coding before any changes. Only apply options you understand; incorrect codes can disable systems.
3) Install BMWAiCoder 4.6
